Book 2 in The Lost Angels Series, which means I have come in part way and missed the start but it was still a really good book. I finished it in 2/3 hours while commuting to work earlier this week. This is a fantasy novel, for a bit different to the horror romance novels of Kresley Cole and J. R. Ward. It was refreshing to have a story about a group of good characters rather than characters that do good but aren’t inherently good people.
Gabriel, Uriel, Michael and Azazel are the favoured four Archangels, who each have a destined Archesses. In book 1 Gabriel finds Eleanore. Messenger’s Angel introduces Juliette Anderson who is studying of her PhD in Scottish History. She is invited by Samuel Lambent (aka Samuel, The Fallen Angel) a media mogul to assist in the research process for a new documentary whilst also being able to do research for her thesis in Scotland itself. The rival faction the Adarians want to capture the Archess so they can steal their powers, Juliette can heal people, and manipulate the weather.
I loved this book it was light but interesting, enough sexual content but it was on the side instead. The romance was a main part but it was woven in with other aspects and therefore didn’t become overwhelming.
Lookout for reviews of the rest of the series in the future, as I will be going back for the other novels.
